Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is the Singapore chapter of the United Nations Global Compact.

Through various platforms and partnerships, GCNS advances the stewardship of sustainable business practices and Singapore’s national agenda of becoming a regional sustainable business hub. In addition, GCNS nurtures the next generation of responsible business leaders through its youth initiatives.

GCNS is a Collaboration Partner for GRI ASEAN Regional Hub and supports the Singapore chapter of the World Bank Group’s Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC). GCNS is also proud to have the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) as Principal Members.

Position:

Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to support events and logistics matters of GCNS. The ideal candidate is someone who will be able to commit full-time from 30 August 2021 to 2 March 2022 (6 months).  

Responsibilities: 

  • Logistics

    • Support the delivery of GCNS’ events, including three (3) flagship events – GCNS Youth Forum, Singapore Corporate Sustainability Apex Awards Gala Dinner and GCNS Summit – whether in virtual or hybrid format​

    • Assist in the planning and implementing of IT and logistical support for GCNS events, including regular webinars and training courses

    • Assist in any administrative and other ad hoc duties as required by Project Mangers (e.g. reviewing of vendor submissions)

  • Able to manage membership data processing and management, including affecting transition onto a new CRM platform

  • Some knowledge/experience in events

  • Knowledge in various virtual event platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Meets), and willing to explore alternatives as required

  • Possess initiative to look for alternative solutions and assist the team whenever needed

  • Goal-oriented with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned

  • Strong communicator (written and verbal); comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across different sectors, regions and seniority levels

  • Possess a positive work ethic and determination in achieving targets within tight deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Accept that OT is necessary at times

  • Some understanding of corporate sustainability and the SDGs will be advantageous

  • Able to work within a small team dynamic

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.

Position:

  • Marketing Content Intern

We're looking for an individual who love conceptualising and creating content. Join us in our efforts to reach out to jobseekers in Singapore with content that are creative, topical and relatable as a Marketing Content Intern!

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the marketing team in building and managing content calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned media

  • Brainstorm, conceptualise and execute content from editorial, video and photography for our digital and social platforms with effective, engaging visuals

  • Explore new, creative ways to engage our target audience on all platforms

  • Ensure KPIs of current key campaigns are consistently tracked and are met

  • Collaborate with partners to increase brand awareness, traffic to the Wantedly platform, and increase new users through various engagement campaigns

  • Work with the marketing team to nurture and manage Wantedly's social media platforms and digital presence to build a strong online/offline community

  • ​Weekly/monthly reporting with data analytics to track goals and objectives of various campaigns

  • Contribute to team effort by supporting the execution of any additional tasks as needed.

  • Min. 3 months commitment

  • Strong command of the English Language (both written and spoken)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with attention to detail

  • Outstanding (copy)writing, video and photo editing skills with knowledge of softwares such as Photoshop, InDesign, or other Adobe Creative Cloud suite

  • Familiarity with Google Suite

  • Familiarity with social media channels and their respective audiences

  • Prior experience in social and digital content creation will be an advantage

  • Experience with graphic designing/photography/paid media/writing/social media and copywriting will be an advantage

  • Bonus: Owned equipment for photography/filming

  • Good community networks displayed by leadership position in CCA or other similar groups

  • Undergrads or fresh graduates are welcome

  • Business Operations & Development Intern

Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will report to, and work closely with the Business Development team to implement the following:

  • Learn the importance and the role of business operations

  • Learn the ropes of approaching customers by cold calling, and achieve sales objectives as a team

  • Assist clients in troubleshooting, creating company profiles and job posts

  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance

Requirements:

If you have a solid track record on community building/stakeholder management, we welcome that experience.   • Assist in space planning, design conceptualization, preparation of presentations, mood boards & client meetings

  • Produce layout, 3D & detailed drawings, plus specification for construction

  • Diploma in design related
