Toefel is a biotech geek by training and the man behind the International Expansion of Silicon Valley-backed "one of the world's first digital telcos" in Asia Pacific region includes Indonesia, Taiwan, and Australia. Prior to that, he was Strategy & Planning in Alibaba-owned shopping platform Lazada where he optimized the logistics supply chain and integrate with Alibaba-owned Order Management System.

Early in his career as Development Associate in Garena Online, Southeast Asia's Largest Internet and Mobile Platform (Forbes, 2016) was the engine behind 20,000+ cyber cafes acquired in Indonesia and smooth customer experience in Shopee Mobile early-stage. Although biotech lab and dating with bacteria isn't his expectant future, he won a research award from the Ministry of Education and Culture back in 2012.

John Pock
Head of DevOps, Cross Functions, and Partnerships, YCH Group

John had extensive experience of more than a decade in SAP and brings with him a proven track record of pioneering and spearheading a regional business unit of more than 25 SAP support consultants in Asia, and leading global cross-functional team in delivering various service offerings to ensure risk mitigation, successful go-live, optimal systems performance and resiliency for all phases of large-scale SAP implementations. Additionally, John's forte includes leadership experiences in Business Operations, Program Management Office, and IT Governance. John held senior positions in his SAP career: Director, Technology COE, and Director, Business Operations.

In 2018, John joined Y3 Technologies, driving business operations, cross-functional processes and governance, digital transformation, and applications modernisation to public cloud Azure partnering Microsoft. In 2019, he was promoted to Head of DevOps, Cross Functions, and Partnerships.

Jim is a senior business and technology consulting executive with more than 20 years of communication and high tech industry Account Management, Customer Relationship Management, P&L Management and Project Implementation experiences. 

He is currently the CEO for Good Doctor Technology, a South East Asian digital health platform. Prior to this stint, he was APAC Regional CTO for Huawei Technologies focusing on the regional markets in Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines. He was also working on projects in the region while with Accenture and Tech Mahindra.

Leon Toh is currently the Executive Director of Damson Capital, an impact investment firm in Singapore.

Damson Capital invests in Asia based Entrepreneurs that the world needs and is dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs seeking to create sustained positive change through enterprise solutions. Leon has led investments in South East Asia and South Asia.

Concurrently, Leon is the Cofounder of Eden and Elie, a Singaporean Social Enterprise Jewellery company, supporting Autistic Adults where they have been featured in the New York Times Style Magazine and Channel News Asia.

Previously, Leon was a management consultant with Accenture Strategy, a Reporter and a Research Assistant with Monash University, studying Coffee Farming Households in Timor Leste.

Lilian possesses more than twenty years of experience with operations management, program management, and supply chain development with various MNCs. Throughout her career, she has held extensive regional assignments spanning more than fifteen years of experience in Asia, of which ten years were spent in Indonesia managing the execution to reengineer the supply chain model for a leading FMCG products company. Lilian has been with YCH Group for more than two decades. During her tenure at YCH Group, she has developed and implemented several key transformation projects for YCH within the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Lilian is also responsible for overseeing the development of the Consumer Business Unit on a regional level across Asia. Lilian holds a Master Degree in Business Management with Curtin University, Western Australia.

Tan Wenyou
Head of Corporate Finance, OVO

After steering our acquisition by OVO and leading its Post-Merger Integration, Wenyou has taken on multiple hats within OVO. He started in OVO's Financial Services where he built the foundation in the Insurance and Wealth Management SBUs. Now, he is heading fund-raising and M&A, where he executes inorganic strategies to accelerate OVO's growth in Indonesia's fintech space. Concurrently, he is the COO of Taralite, a fintech high-growth company that Taralite invested in while he was with the Investments team of SBI (Formerly SoftBank Investments).

Wenyou started his career at the Investments team of the Singapore government where I invested in ICT start-ups and seeded a number of Southeast Asia's leading VC firms. He has spent several years in China building up an education company during my formative years. Wenyou also has a MBA from INSEAD (Europe) and attended the NOC program at Fudan University (China) while he was at National University of Singapore on a Singapore government scholarship.

In the early stages of his career, he spent 2 years building a strong foundation in Human Nutrition Sales Management in Singapore and Malaysia. Jun Ming worked with a diverse range of people across the region to ensure the benefits of health ingredients could be brought to consumers in the marketplace.

Tapping on his rich experience and expertise, Jun Ming currently serves as a Global Product Manager. In this capacity, he plays an integral role in strategic development for products under his care.

With strong strategic mindset garnered from his 6-year experience leading the ASEAN marketing effort in his HQ role as Assistant Marketing Manager for Sony's video and sound products, Nicholas is now posted to work in Sony Malaysia in a new functional role as business controller. This latest assignment hones his financial acumen in his goal to be an all-rounded business leader. 


As a business control manager, some of his responsibilities include enacting business operation strategies that streamline business processes while maximising profit and optimising inventory via supply chain management.

Sally has always been passionate about improving the quality of life of an individual with products through storytelling. She is a relentless digital strategist who has run her own Start-up, freelance as Digital Consultant and lead Product Innovation and Growth Hacking projects in the Digital Transformation Office of various industries (Telco, Retail, Insurance and Agriculture Tech) across different ASEAN countries. Being a strong advocate of Design Thinking, Content and Performance Marketing, she has launch numerous digital products and implemented marketing campaigns with the 'cross-pollination' approach. These successful outcomes give her tremendous joy and fuel her motivation to keep running in the ever-changing digital world 

Philip Lee
Business Development Director (North Asia), Docomo Digital

Philip led business development in ASEAN for software sales. He recruited partners, train and have joint strategy meetings to sell in the countries. Philip speaks Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Cantonese and Japanese which helps to build rapport with partners and clients in the region. He organises workshops and client meetings in ASEAN and presented in Bahasa.

Prior to that, he did consulting and presales to customers in Indonesia and Phillipines for few years.
Senthil has over 20+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, and specializing in Big Data Technology within large MNC organization. His experience includes stints with  AIA,  OCBC Bank and most recently with Standard Chartered Bank, Heading their Enterprise Data Management Platform Delivery, evangelizing the Analytics usage across the Bank’s 63 markets across the world. Senthil currently manages a team of over 200 staff, spread across the APAC region.

Currently the Sales Account Manager, ASEAN in ExxonMobil Chemical, Timothy has 8 years of industrial experience in oil and gas, and automation and instrumentation system. He has been in the chemical industry with different job functions such as process optimization engineer, business and product manager, and specialise in IOT, digital marketing, customer and data analytics, and simulation and techno-commercial tender negotiation. Timothy graduated with an honours degree in chemical engineering, and went on to pursue an MBA in Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Currently, Hui Mun is a senior industrial relations officer with NTUC-ARU and looking after the Singapore Industrial and Services Employees' Union (SISEU). Not just engaging in union work where he handles Collective Agreement negotiations, grievances, HR related issues, Hui Mun also looks at members engagement and membership recruitment for SISEU.

Her position is a Flight Operations Engineer. Theesuda has spent her free time as a life coach and mentor and also joined the Toastmasters community in District 97 congregates Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar as one.  She also has the opportunities to support and train the speakers from the countries in developing their communication skills and self-development both in and outside Toastmasters.

He delivered software engineering solutions to his clients coming from various industry groups, some of them are business leaders in the Irish and UK markets. He is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Data Science at the Asian Institute of Management, which was founded by a consortium of prominent business leaders and the Harvard Business School. Prior to this, he was the program director of Vietnam Innovative Startup Accelerator (VIISA) an accelerator and US$6M seed stage fund based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Previously, Adrian was a Lean Startup Coach and Program Manager at Joyful Frog Digital Incubator (JFDI Asia), Southeast Asia’s first accelerator. While also supporting corporate and innovation programs based on lean startup and design-thinking, he also helped to kickstart JFDI Discover, a 3 week online pre-acceleration course and has coached over 1000 startup founders in the region.

Alex co-founded Doki Doki, a FMCG company with presence in Singapore, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. He setup the company's supply chain that includes operating a manufacturing plant in Vietnam. Damien's passion and appreciation for South East Asia’s business and culture began in 2004, when he, without prior experience, was posted to Vietnam as a junior sales manager to lead the local team. Since then, he has travelled extensively in the region to live, breathe and learn from talents he had the privilege to work with. 
Damien helps companies strategize and grow. For 20 years, he has helped startups, SMEs and multinationals to set-up, strategise, M&A, train, restructure and manage entities across Asia Pacific. His most recent appointment was General Manager Japan-APAC of a UK multinational. He recently began his entrepreneurial journey in management consulting, successfully completing projects in medical, education, services sectors in B2B, B2C and retail space.

Darren has more than 9 years of past work experiences in engineering design, projects and commercial management, with vast exposure in diverse geographical regions covering Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mozambique, Bahrain, UAE (Fujairah), Swaziland, China, Taiwan and The Netherlands. 

 In Vietnam, he was given the opportunity of managing and executing both the residential and commercial building project. In Malaysia and Indonesia, he was fortunate to ride on the rising wave in the energy market in managing the infrastructure and petrochemical storage construction projects.

Cybersecurity Specialist, Resorts World

Jonathan was deployed in Vietnam for 4 months at Dimension Data as a technical consultant to a Vietnamese bank, deploying Microsoft solutions and doing architectural designs for their core IT infrastructure. His role involves gathering client requirements, designing IT solutions and ensuring the project timelines, cost and deliverables are of quality. 

Following a change of role to BMW Group APAC regional office, Jonathan was the subject matter expert for IT Risk, Compliance and Security for 10 Asia Pacific markets, including China, Japan, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia. His focus includes conducting trainings and risk reporting to senior management in the markets and enhancing their current security and business continuity posture.

Currently deepening his technical skills and experience as a cyber-defender at Resorts World, Jonathan also volunteers his time as a career mentor; helping people discover their motivations towards success and support them in their journey to achieve it.

Krush Dattani
Architech, WeWork

Krush is currently working as an Architect in WeWork and is working on products (our spaces) to be launched in Vietnam & Kuala Lumpur, localized to the market needs. Part of his job involves liaising with the stakeholders based in these markets, working with the contractors and vendors based in these markets locally. His previous jobs in AECOM & IDS also involved similar experience in Vietnam & Kuala Lumpur. 

Krush brings varied experience from architectural design consultancies and construction firm based in Singapore, Hong Kong & India along with proficiency in BIM & Sustainable Design. He started his career with a Japanese construction firm and had developed his project delivery skills and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful design and build projects, mainly based in Singapore.  Krush graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with an Institute Medal and the Best Thesis among the students graduating in Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) 2012. He attained his Masters in Sustainable Design from National University of Singapore in 2015.

With The Hien's current background as an English lecturer at university and a part time tour-guide in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as his former positions in the youth movement and Vietnam's governmental administration of culture, sports and tourism, he hopes that his experience and his enthusiasm will bring some benefits and advices for participants of the ASEAN Career Mentorship Program 2019. Having taken part in many official meetings and exchange activities of the ASEAN Community as a youth ambassador, he believes that his stories will motivate the Southeast Asian young generation to reach their life-goals and understand their career path in the near future. A digital marketing enthusiast, Nghi has five years of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience spanning across various verticals. Being exposed to the region's multiple markets during his time at ZALORA and Scoot, Nghi developed his fascination for consumer behaviors, which are  organic  and starkly diverse within ASEAN. He is currently working on fresh challenges of crafting consumer communications at Circles.Life. In his free time, he enjoys reading and binging Youtube content.
