Early in his career as Development Associate in Garena Online, Southeast Asia's Largest Internet and Mobile Platform (Forbes, 2016) was the engine behind 20,000+ cyber cafes acquired in Indonesia and smooth customer experience in Shopee Mobile early-stage. Although biotech lab and dating with bacteria isn't his expectant future, he won a research award from the Ministry of Education and Culture back in 2012.

John had extensive experience of more than a decade in SAP and brings with him a proven track record of pioneering and spearheading a regional business unit of more than 25 SAP support consultants in Asia, and leading global cross-functional team in delivering various service offerings to ensure risk mitigation, successful go-live, optimal systems performance and resiliency for all phases of large-scale SAP implementations. Additionally, John's forte includes leadership experiences in Business Operations, Program Management Office, and IT Governance. Adrian Tan is Head of Labs for WeWork Southeast Asia. Previously, Adrian was a Lean Startup Coach and Program Manager at Joyful Frog Digital Incubator (JFDI Asia), Southeast Asia’s first accelerator. Damien's passion and appreciation for South East Asia’s business and culture began in 2004, when he, without prior experience, was posted to Vietnam as a junior sales manager to lead the local team. Since then, he has travelled extensively in the region to live, breathe and learn from talents he had the privilege to work with.
Damien helps companies strategize and grow. For 20 years, he has helped startups, SMEs and multinationals to set-up, strategise, M&A, train, restructure and manage entities across Asia Pacific. His most recent appointment was General Manager Japan-APAC of a UK multinational. He recently began his entrepreneurial journey in management consulting, successfully completing projects in medical, education, services sectors in B2B, B2C and retail space.

Jonathan Ng Vee An
Cybersecurity Specialist, Resorts World
Jonathan was deployed in Vietnam for 4 months at Dimension Data as a technical consultant to a Vietnamese bank, deploying Microsoft solutions and doing architectural designs for their core IT infrastructure. His role involves gathering client requirements, designing IT solutions and ensuring the project timelines, cost and deliverables are of quality.
Following a change of role to BMW Group APAC regional office, Jonathan was the subject matter expert for IT Risk, Compliance and Security for 10 Asia Pacific markets, including China, Japan, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia. His focus includes conducting trainings and risk reporting to senior management in the markets and enhancing their current security and business continuity posture.
Currently deepening his technical skills and experience as a cyber-defender at Resorts World, Jonathan also volunteers his time as a career mentor; helping people discover their motivations towards success and support them in their journey to achieve it.
Krush is currently working as an Architect in WeWork and is working on products (our spaces) to be launched in Vietnam & Kuala Lumpur, localized to the market needs. Part of his job involves liaising with the stakeholders based in these markets, working with the contractors and vendors based in these markets locally. His previous jobs in AECOM & IDS also involved similar experience in Vietnam & Kuala Lumpur.
Krush brings varied experience from architectural design consultancies and construction firm based in Singapore, Hong Kong & India along with proficiency in BIM & Sustainable Design. He started his career with a Japanese construction firm and had developed his project delivery skills and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful design and build projects, mainly based in Singapore. Krush graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with an Institute Medal and the Best Thesis among the students graduating in Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) 2012. He attained his Masters in Sustainable Design from National University of Singapore in 2015.

With The Hien's current background as an English lecturer at university and a part time tour-guide in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as his former positions in the youth movement and Vietnam's governmental administration of culture, sports and tourism, he hopes that his experience and his enthusiasm will bring some benefits and advices for participants of the ASEAN Career Mentorship Program 2019. Having taken part in many official meetings and exchange activities of the ASEAN Community as a youth ambassador, he believes that his stories will motivate the Southeast Asian young generation to reach their life-goals and understand their career path in the near future.
